Thought the Florentine area was art museums only? Think again. Activities in Casa Bada’s nearby towns and cities are as varied as the Tuscan landscape.
While we’re sure you’ll love relaxing in our outdoor areas, swimming in the pool or strolling in the vineyards, you shouldn’t miss out on the many activities our territory offers.
CHIANTI RUFINA VINEYARDS
Casa Bada is set against the hilly heart of Chianti Rufina country (visit the Chianti Rufina Consortium’s website here), a historic wine production area among the most important in Tuscany. Just to the northeast of Florence, the area is home to numerous historic wineries, only a few minutes away from Casa Bada, many of which frequently open their doors for guided visits to centuries-old conservation cellars, refineries, and tasting centers.
CULTURAL VISITS
The modern marvel of Florence is only 20 minutes away by car or 30 minutes by train. Numerous historical villages and towns are also peppered around it. Two well-known cities to visit are Siena and Arezzo, each about 1 hour away by car or by train. Ask us for advice on the best itineraries in each city, according to your interests.
PRODUCERS AND HANDICRAFTS
In the area you’ll find countless producers of delicacies and crafts: come face to face with the makers themselves by going directly to visit a farm, purchasing products to cook, or learning pottery tricks from a local ceramics artist.
SPORT
Sport lovers are spoiled for choice: horseback riding, golf, swimming, and tennis are all on the menu; for motorcycle fans, the nearby Mugello circuit in Scarperia is a must.
